Plus, there was a question that we\u2019d been contemplating for a while: Do prospects prefer free shipping or a discount on their order\/product?<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Louis-Daniel Binette, Account Director at J7 Media, wanted to discover the answer to this question. If we base ourselves on the assumption of dividing the ROAS by 2 and increasing the spend by the same amount, we\u2019d probably have ended up somewhere below Offer #1\u2019s ROAS.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This is a test that would be interesting to replicate for another account in order to get a confirmation!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h1>\n Facebook Ads: We Test New Hooks!<br \/>\n <\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h1>\n We may have found our next big winner\u2026<br \/>\n <\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Here are the results of our latest test as of February 28, 2022.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We've changed our approach for this week\u2019s test and will be talking about a test that we\u2019ve been running for several months now. It\u2019s no before\/after situation, but rather a long search for the best ad Hooks.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>But first, let\u2019s look at our client\u2019s account structure.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The client in question is an e-commerce that sells cottage booking\/property rental services through which prospects can book their next getaway or vacation. Obviously, this is a service that can be rather expensive, so it requires patience \u2013 because prospects don\u2019t usually just book their next stay on a whim, especially if their plans involve several people.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This client\u2019s account structure is so simple, you\u2019d think Apple designed it (\ud83d\ude0f). The client has but two campaigns: a retargeting campaign with two different audiences (Visitors and Engagement) and an acquisition\/conversion campaign with an audience stack of 10% Lookalikes (based on customers and leads) and a BROAD audience.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve been testing the following 3 Hooks for several months. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hook #1 - GENERAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<div>\n<div>\n<img decoding=\"async\" align=\"\" alt=\"\" data-height=\"1080\" data-intrinsicsize=\"1245 x 1080\" data-width=\"1245\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.j7media.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/b0e5c2f8-b1f9-11ec-95d1-9b74767e820d.jpg?v=1648844712\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.j7media.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/b0e5c2f8-b1f9-11ec-95d1-9b74767e820d.jpg\" type=\"image\/jpeg\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>This Hook is purely lifestyle-oriented. To do so, we used a quick and short video that featured a selection of beautiful properties. The goal was that one of the properties would tempt prospects to discover more properties (and potentially book their next stay!).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We also used an image (on the left) based on social proof to reassure prospects.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hook #3 - PRICE<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<div>\n<div>\n<img decoding=\"async\" align=\"\" alt=\"\" data-height=\"1080\" data-intrinsicsize=\"1296 x 1080\" data-width=\"1296\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.j7media.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/b4167b52-b1f9-11ec-a182-09ba374bc3d9.jpg?v=1648844714\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.j7media.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/b4167b52-b1f9-11ec-a182-09ba374bc3d9.jpg\" type=\"image\/jpeg\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Here, the incentive is twofold. As you can see, our CTR was much higher for our <strong>PRICE<\/strong> Hook. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>However, there is a clear difference between our <strong>GENERAL <\/strong>and <strong>DISCOVERY<\/strong> results, despite there being a much lower ROAS (and a much higher CPA). This makes us think that this Hook has a consistency problem.
