Like any lead generation business, we had to follow three key steps:

  1. Generate leads at a low cost…

  2. While maintaining impeccable lead quality…

  3. In order to increase acquisition budgets and drive Soumission Rénovation into hypergrowth.

Challenges

The main challenge was to move Soumission Rénovation away from its reliance on one or two sales funnels in order to better reflect the diversity of its services. It was also necessary to improve lead quality by reducing the heavy use of Lead Ads campaigns, which are known to generate low-quality leads despite their attractive cost. Finally, J7 Media had to structure campaigns tailored to each vertical (kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, etc.) while maintaining competitive acquisition costs, despite a significant increase in advertising spend.

Our Initial Assessment

 

RenoQuotes relied heavily on one or two sales funnels to generate leads and find customers, even though its field of expertise was much broader.

We also noted the massive use of Lead Ad campaigns, well-known for bringing in low-quality leads despite their advantageous cost-per-lead.

 

Our Objectives

 

Like any Lead Gen business, we had to follow three steps:

2/ While maintaining impeccable lead quality...

3/ To increase the acquisition budget and bring RenoQuotes into Hypergrowth.

 

Our Strategy

 

1/ Design sales funnels that enable us to generate and qualify high-quality leads.

2/ Multiply the number of sales funnels (and matching campaigns).

3/ Scale the account in the process.

 

When personalization drives conversions

 

We completely changed the funnel and began redirecting traffic from our ads to Typeform quizzes corresponding to the types of renovations prospects were interested in.

This enabled us to create different campaigns for each of the possible verticals (types of renovations) (kitchen, bathroom, roofing, etc.), but also be much more relevant in our message (at the same time, the quality of leads improved significantly).

Over time, we tailored each quiz to optimize them, either by adding or removing questions, depending on the verticals and results obtained.

Subsequently, we began testing variations of these same sales funnels to further improve conversion rates.

 

The art of testing at scale

 

With so many new sales funnels, we were going against Facebook's recommended advertising practices here, particularly with regard to simplifying the account.

 

But, it was exactly what we were looking for!

 

Indeed, while Facebook usually recommends having as few active campaigns as possible, we had no less than 18 in place. Ideal for testing a wide range of creatives, audiences and marketing approaches.

In addition to having an offer that was totally relevant to our audience, we could use our creatives to generate leads at very low costs.

 

When testing enables massive scaling

Obviously, with so many tests in place, we could only drastically increase our Facebook Ads budget (without reducing our costs per performance).

 

In two years, RenoQuotes' Facebook advertising budget increased by 198%, then by 68%, reaching $3,000 per day.

 

The results

Soumission Rénovation multiplied its high-quality leads while scaling its Facebook Ads budget to $3,000 per day, all while maintaining competitive cost-per-performance metrics.
