Brigitte Jalbert - Growing a company with 98 million in annual revenues to 206 million

Last week on the podcast, Julie Roy mentioned that her takeover of the company that her father had created was done in the right way.

There was a plan put in place.

And a succession plan.

And most importantly, collaboration between her and her father.

In short, a handover that Julie may replicate in the future if she has to hand over Services Roy to the next generation.

Now, is this always the case in business acquisitions?

Can changes in leadership sometimes be a bit more complex?

Brigitte Jalbert, CEO of Emballage Carrousel, is with us today for the 145th episode.

In 2011, she inherited the company her father created 40 years earlier. She explains to that life isn't always easy when you take over a company.

The original founder can be very attached to their company and the change in ownership can be more complicated.

Nevertheless, hats off to Brigitte who was able to bring the company to 206 million in sales in 2022 when it was making less than 90 million annually at the time of the takeover.

For nearly 50 minutes, we dicuss Birgitte's journey.

Without further ado, my discussion with Brigitte Jalbert.
